Rover 100 for £9,995
Description
The Rover P4 was produced by the Rover Motor Company from 1949 until 1964 in various guises and engine sizes. This desirable P4 100 was manufactured in 1960 towards the end of production, before it was replaced with the Rover 2000 and is recognised as one the most desirable models with the light weight non rusting aluminium bonnet, door and boot lid, before Rover changed to steel as a cost cutting measure. The P4 100 model was equipped with their own highly recognised, reliable and silky smooth 2600 cc straight six engine and an overdrive gearbox fitted as standard. This exceptional P4 has had only five former keepers from new. the one before last enjoyed 33 years of ownership having owned her since 1987. In recent years she has been used sparingly as a wedding car, very well cared for and maintained, and polished before every outing. The recorded mileage during her 64 years of life is just 96000 miles. She looks very regal, finished in Rush green, complimented with the optional whitewall tyres and full luxurious leather trim, walnut dash and door cappings etc. She has obviously had a pampered life with excellent bodywork, and interior. The underside, chassis and outriggers appear to be solid and are well Waxoyle rust protected. A brand new set of piped carpets have just been fitted to compliment the leather seats. Original working, overdrive, valve radio, heater and clock. Full and complete original tool tray. She has recently been serviced, had new whitewall radial tyres and has a current Mot until October 2024 with no advisories. Original transferable number although it would be a shame to loose the originality of the car. She starts on the button and wafts along in typical Rover effortless fashion. A pleasure to drive.
