Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow for £24,995

Description
Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II (1980) 89 164 miles/ 6750cc Engine/ Petrol/ Automatic Transmission/ 14mpg/ 200 BHP The Rolls-Royce name always stood for unbeatable comfort and luxury, and the Silver Shadow delivers these attributes in spades. Settle into the gentleman's club interior and there is a huge feel-good factor, and as you gaze down the bonnet to the iconic 'Spirit of Ecstasy' it's hard not to feel a sense of real pride. Driving a Rolls has that effect somehow. The Silver Shadow was a striking change from the Silver Cloud that preceded it. The Shadow was lighter, faster, and handled better than any previous Rolls-Royce. Early models are powered by a 200-horse, 6230-cc V-8 from the Silver Cloud III; the engine grew to 6750 cc in 1970. GM's Turbo Hydramatic 400 three-speed automatic transmission was standard outside of the UK, as were power windows and four-wheel disc brakes. The Silver Shadow II—essentially a Shadow with rack-and-pinion steering, a slightly different bumper, and firmer front suspension—was introduced in 1977. Production ended after the 1980 model year. This is a later example of this car dating from 1980 and has very clean paintwork with only a few very minor scratches. Chrome details are also in good condition with very little pitting. It's whitewall tyres are still in good condition and hubcaps have very little damage. The walnut dashboard is in excellent condition and all dials, instruments and switches are clear with no fading. The interior grey leather shows some wear but there are no cuts, tears or holes. The thick pile deep-blue carpets are in good condition with only the drivers footwell being worn through. It comes with an exceptional service history and will be M.O.T'd before sale.
