Description
Mercedes 420SL has been purchased off a private individual SL420 in rare Nautical Blue Metallic. Blue Check Trim totally outstanding condition, as you can see from we collected this car. The car was owned by Lord Sugar from new (see documentation attached). Thereafter being sold to the Chung family in Monmouthshire, South Wales. The car was reserved for special occasions, kept clean and in full working order. Stored permanently in a garage. The keeper changed to another family member years later making the vehicle 2 former keepers. The vehicle has been returned to its original Reg Plate of: C31NWC. Befitting of a car with so few miles. Apart from the door edge damage, the bodywork is in amazing condition and it comes with the original manuals, service book as detailed above, two keys and a spare blade. There are no marks, scratches or blemishes on the interior. The seats are faultless. and so are the carpets. It has the original fire extinguisher fitted at the front of the passenger seat. The original radio and electric aerial work, as does the central locking, electric windows, passenger electrically adjustable wing mirror (the drivers one being manual and working). Inside the boot is like new, with the factory first aid kit and all the tools in the side locker. There are four good matching Pirelli tyres along with a matching spare alloy wheel. There are no signs of sun damage. The MOT tester commented how clean the car was underneath and how sound and original all the suspension bushes and components were. Mr Chung has not taken off the hard top in many years. He says the roof is in excellent condition but the plastic rear screen is curved in shape and he did not wish to damage it by forcing the roof up, so just used it with the hard top. A rare car in an even rarer colour with genuine low miles, and in a condition befitting of those miles. Even after nearly 40 years, it drives the way you would hope it would. Something rather special.
