Ford GALAXY GALAXIE 5.0 V8 AMERICAN COP CAR for £9,995

Description
Hello and welcome to the sale of this awesome Ford Galaxie. Manufactured in 1970, this particular Galaxie has been convincingly liveried as a Chicago Police homage with an accurate paint scheme, working sirens, blue flashing lights and flashing headlights. It lends itself to a TV/film/promotional hire vehicle business opportunity, a perfect prom car or just a seriously cool bit of fun! With a 5.0 V8 engine, and a brand new stainless steel exhaust system, it certainly looks and sounds the part and raises waves and smiles wherever you go! Not much is known about its time in the USA, apart from it arriving in the UK in 2021 in a solid and rust free condition. Sure there are a few scabs and bubbles around the body, but the panels are straight, and the shabby patina actually works well for that well worn Blues Brothers look! Underneath the car is in a very sound state with nothing more than some surface rust and no heavy corrosion to the chassis or body. Since then it was owned for a time by Steve Parrish, the renowned Motorcycle GP rider and Truck Racer, and it also featured on TVs Shed & Buried. The car arrived with us in need of a fair amount of mechanical TLC and we set to work on various recommissioning including but not limited to fitting a new starter motor, electric fuel pump, Filter King fuel pressure regulator, steering arm bushes, fresh service including spark plugs and HT leads, new brake pipes, fluid and brakes adjusted accordingly. It now steers and stops as well as any 1970 American car is ever going to! The power steering and 3 speed automatic gearbox takes the hard work out of driving allowing you to enjoy the cruise! The interior is clean and dry, there is some wear to the seat cloth on the passenger side and rear seat back, but some correct matching cloth has been sourced and is included in the sale should you wish to improve in the future. To sum up this is a robust example of an exceptionally cool looking V8 powered American classic car, and I am sure it will bring huge amount of enjoyment to its next lucky owner and whoever sees them in it!, , .
