Chevrolet Camaro Z28 350ci for £38,000
Description
Disclaimer: This vehicle was taken in part exchange. While it doesn't match our usual stock profile, we've chosen to offer it for sale from our Brighton showroom. The sale includes our standard buyer protection, including mechanical warranty. However, we have limited knowledge of this specific model, and American imports in general, and as such cannot confirm its exact factory specification from 1968. There is speculation, including suggestions that it may not have originally been designated a 'Z28' from the factory. We have been unable to either confirm or refute this claim, so we are specifically excluding historical provenance from this vehicle's buyer protection. All inspections are welcome, and if any experts can provide further insight, we'd greatly appreciate your input. Available now from our Brighton location is this UK Registered 1968 Chevrolet Camaro, believed to be a Z28 showing 39,094 miles. Presented in excellent condition throughout, this example represents a rare opportunity to own a true icon of American muscle. The Z28 designation identifies this car as the high performance variant of the first-generation Camaro, originally equipped with the uprated V8 engine and a 4-speed manual gearbox. Between 1967 and 1969, Chevrolet produced 235,147 Camaros, but just 7,199 of those were Z28 models making surviving examples increasingly rare and desirable (if indeed this is one!). While this particular Camaro is powered by a 350ci, 5.7L small-block V8, it retains the raw character and unmistakable soundtrack that defines the Z28 driving experience. Since being imported from the U.S. in October 2014, it has undergone an extensive restoration in the UK, with £26,489 in documented work carried out during restoration years, between 2014 and 2016. Key restoration work completed includes: - Full engine rebuild by Namco American Motor Co - New gearbox, twin-plate clutch, and flywheel by Namco American Motor Co - Stainless steel Flowmaster exhaust system - Wilwood front disc brake conversion - Bare metal respray to a high standard - Interior retrimmed by CW Trimming Now fully UK-registered and qualifying for historic vehicle status, the car is both MOT and road tax exempt. It has been garage kept and well cared for. As part of our recent sales preparation, the vehicle has been thoroughly inspected and serviced, and is ready to be enjoyed immediately. Included: - 2 keys - V5 logbook showing 1 former UK keeper - Bookpacks and full history file Optional: - Enclosed home delivery - Part exchange - Dealer-fit S5 tracker options
