BMW X5 4.4i SE Automatic for £7,495

Description
It is amazing to think that the X5 has been around since 1999! When it was launched it set new standards in the SUV sector for comfort, refinement and road holding. This made the outgoing P38 Range Rover look like a dinosaur and it leapt over the (fairly low) bar set by the Mercedes ML. With a monocoque design the X5 drove more like an estate car than a 4x4. One criticism of the X5 was that it was too sporty. Most examples sold in the UK were Sport models with large 19 or 20 inch wheels, sports suspension and bolstered sports seats. Great for throwing around a B road but uncomfortable for passengers. This particular car was specified with comfort in mind with some pretty rare options;, Cosmos Black Metallic, Black Dakota Leather, 4.4 V8, 5 Speed Automatic/Tiptronic Gearbox, 16 way comfort front seats with memory function, Electric steering column, Height adjustable air suspension, Automatic xenon headlights, Wide Screen Satellite Navigation with TV, Front and rear Parking sensors, Heated front Seats, Walnut trim to dashboard, console and steering wheel, 6 CD changer, Bluetooth Phone Prep, Removable Tow Bar, Side Steps, Chrome exterior trim, Fitted Floor mats, 17 Alloy wheels, This is by far the best X5 I have driven, there is no compromise in ride comfort yet it still handles like a BMW should. We first owned this car in 2019 when it was purchased from the original owners. It was then sold to a good friend and we have just taken it back in. There is a superb service history, all books and manuals, 2 keys, 4 matching Michelin tyres and a clear HPI report. I cant imagine that there were many X5s built to this spec, good examples of the original X5 are getting hard to come by and this one represents great value for money.
