Description
1960 AUSTIN HEALEY ""FROGEYE"SPRITE. Original UK car. First registered in September 1960 by P Pike Ltd of Exeter, Dorset. Finished in Speedwell Blue with Navy Blue interior. Original 948 cc engine, original Buff Log Book. Fully restored back in 2019/20 with very little use since. Its then owner was a lady living in Dorset and bills from Frogeye Spares show a new boot floor and associated panels were required. The work was entrusted to South Coast Customs and Classics and also included repairs to the left hand rear wing, arches, scuttle rain channel, bonnet hinge area, floor plan etc. The shell was then fully flatted, the under side seam sealed, primed and painted in its original shade of Speedwell Blue. Frogeye Spares also provided a lot of the engine components for its rebuild, including a new oil pump, core plugs, timing chain, big end and main bearing sets, water pump etc, D&R James also of Poole fitting valve inserts for unleaded fuel and reboring and honing the block. Frogeye Spares also supplied a new wiring loom. There are plenty more bills besides. Still in superb condition with no dings, dents or marks to the paintwork, excellent condition on the underside and under the original steel bonnet shows really well. Complete with soft top and frame, side screens and tonneau cover. Although not required the car will come with a fresh 12 month MoT.
