Honda CR-V sports a diesel engine and is Honda’s contribution to the booming SUV market. The company has focused its efforts into making the CR-V a well rounded and competent on-road vehicle.

The CR-V offers an elevated driving position and some refined 4X4 qualities without the drawbacks that an actual 4X4 provides. The car comes with a choice of engines, the 2.0-litre petrol or the 2.2-litre diesel version. Both engine’s effectively keep up with the competition and display the famous Japanese build quality.

Honda should do very well in the UK with their new CR-V. Diesel engines with manual transmissions are very popular with UK buyers, and the car’s i-CDTi looks like it will be readily accepted.

Despite the Honda CR-V’s size its controls are light and maneuvering the car is not a problem. Even on crowded city streets. The spacious cabin makes it an ideal family vehicle and the car should appeal to many segments of the market for its overall reliability and functionality.

The four-wheel drive system enhances the Honda CR-V on-road capabilities, but its off-road capabilities are not all that great. It makes more sense for buyers who intend to stay on the road, increasing the car’s practicality and comfort while improving the overall driving experience.
