Description
Luxurious load-carrying, to cope with everything that family life can throw at it, is offered in the shape of this lovely Volkswagen Passat R-Line diesel auto estate. Registered in July 2015 and finished in metallic grey with a complimentary black interior with light grey seat facings, the car has covered 98,000 miles from new with plenty of supporting history. Powered by a 2.0 litre Euro 6 diesel engine through a 6-speed automatic gearbox, the car is both deceptively quick as well a decently refined and economical. It is also cheap to tax at £35 for a year, and is both Clean Air Zones and ULEZ compliant. In all, it's the best of all worlds. This particular car has been known to us for some time, as it's been owned by an old friend of ours. He takes car ownership seriously, and in the time he's owned it he has the gearbox oil changed - which is not a quick or cheap job - and the gearbox changes are now imperceptible. He has also changed the original R-Line wheels for some smaller ones with tyres with more sidewall than the standard low profile ones, so that the car rides more comfortably than the factory intended. And because I'm getting old myself, I can appreciate where he's coming from here.... The car drives every bit as well as you'd expect - there are no untoward noises from the suspension or the driveline. The current MOT is valid until July, and the so the car could be driven away is desired. However, we are happy to put a fresh MOT on it prior to delivery. Open
