Proton Gen 2
Proton Gen 2
Proton Gen-2 handling and driving capabilities are not exceptional. They are just barely average. The transmission is even worse, and the car’s 1.6-litre engine is thirsty. This car is not one that you purchase for the driving experience.

This is definitely not a family car. It is much too small. The boot is also small and limited on what it can hold. This is not a practical choice for a primary family vehicle.

This would be an excellent first car. It is inexpensive to buy, it enjoys low running costs and is durable. Insurance rates will be low, and the car should be relatively inexpensive to repair.

Proton’s warranties say a little something about the reliability of their automobiles. The car’s engines and mechanics should hold up fine, it’s the interior that will probably not wear as well. Proton is seen as a manufacturer of inexpensive cars. The challenge will be for the company to manufacture inexpensive cars without making them so cheap that they aren’t desirable

Car Reviews
Proton Gen-2
Review Summary
The Gen-2 is inepensive and feels cheap. It does come with an impressive warranty and a nice-looking exterior design. Other than that the car holds no bragging rights.

The company has created a bargain vehicle and has not taken great pains to disguise the really cheap nature of the car. Only the seriously strapped for cash buyer would opt for the Proton Gen-2.
