You've prepared your car and have an asking price — now you need to sell it. An effective ad will draw buyers' attention and can help sell the car quickly.
• Attach a photo – it’s the first thing that the buyer will see. Use a large photo of the whole car; pictures of seats, dashboard, wheels etc are great, but remember it is the car that is for sale.
• Tell the buyer the exact model you are selling. If you have an Astra 1.6 LX 5-door, write that not Astra LX.
• Full service history can be a massive selling benefit. If it has it, tell them!
• Sell the great features on your car – Air Conditioning, Alloy Wheels, Electric Windows and so on. What features were you attracted to when you purchased it?
• Are you the car's only owner/driver? Has it been garaged during all seasons? These items may also be worth mentioning.
• Avoid generalisations such as "Loaded!" or "Like new!" Instead, be specific: loaded with what? And how is it "like new"? Does it have relatively low mileage for its age? Is the interior immaculate?
