Practicality
The Renault Twingo is user-friendly and easy to park. It is small but cleverly packaged with lots of space up front. The two rear seats are cleverly designed to individually slide, fold and recline. Thus the choice is yours whether to increase luggage room or rear passenger space. The rear seats can also be folded and tumbled forward to allow larger items to be loaded.
A comfortable driving position is relatively easy to obtain despite height-only steering wheel adjustment and a driver’s seat that’s high even at its lowest setting. All-round visibility is good while the dashboard is well set out and easy to use. However, the central digital display is an acquired taste and the stereo buttons are a touch small.
The Twingo is cheaper than equivalent mainstream superminis, but it’s not generously equipped and doesn’t undercut Renault’s more accomplished Clio by a huge margin. What it does offer are frugal engines and low carbon dioxide emissions.
The Twingo feels built to last with good quality hard-wearing materials used in the cabin.
