 Practicality 3.5/5
Jeep Commander
Jeep Commander
The Commander is competitively priced once all of the options are included. Repair work is like to be expensive and so will insurance rates. The car’s resale value is uncertain and should be a consideration before making this purchase.

The Jeep Commander cabin is quite spacious and more than accommodates seven passengers comfortably. The boot is capable of carrying luggage and groceries as well. Seats fold down in a variety of ways to accommodate larger cargo items and allow easy loading of pasasengers who are trying to access the rear seats.

The Jeep Commander controls and dials are large and useful. The Commander provides a wealth of information such as the altitude, compass bearing and the exterior temperature. Displays are also large and easy to read and understand.

The Commander is equipped with theatre style seating. Each row is subsequentally raised higher than the row in front of it to provide all passengers with a clear view. The third row of passengers enjoy their own heating and air conditioning feature.

The Jeep Commander cabin is fairly easy to access although there is a small step up that may pose a problem for some passengers. It should prove to be easy access for most passengers including rear passengers, thanks to the seats on the outside that fold down out of the way. The rear tail-gate has a window that opens separately from the tail-gate.

The Commander is relatively easy to park despite its small turning circle and large size. Front and rear parking sensors come as part of the standard package and prove to be invaluable when parking the Commander.

 Life Style 3.5/5
Jeep Commander
Jeep Commander
Jeep’s Commander is one of the largest and more responsive SUV’s on the road. The car is capable of maintaining a brisk pace comfortably and and handles well both on and off the road. Buyers are encouraged to take one of Jeep’s off-roading classes to understand fully what the Commander is capable of.

The Commander is an excellent family vehicle. It offers plenty of passenger and cabin space. Rear passengers have their own heat and air controls, and the boot is large enough to accommodate a family life-style.

This is not a very practical first vehicle. It is an expensive vehicle to purchase, and its large size will be difficult for less experienced drivers to maneuver. It will prove to be expensive to fuel and doesn’t have many of the qualities that new drivers usually look for in a car.

Jeep’s SUVs have always had a positive image, but they seem to lack the same commitment to fit and finish that some of the big named competitors embody. This has occasionally hurt Jeep and limited their market within this sector. Although they do enjoy a huge loyal following of customers.
