 Proton Gen 2 - Practicality 2.5/5
Proton Gen 2
Proton Gen 2
Despite Proton Gen-2 low asking price, buyers can find better quality cars for the same price or less. The car come’s with a six year warranty and insurance premiums should be low as well. The car’s resale value will also be on the low side.

The Gen-2 provides adequate passenger space, but boot space is limited. Various storage compartments help out a little, but this car definitely wasn’t designed for carrying cargo.

The Proton Gen-2 offers plenty of controls and features, but the plastics feel cheap and don’t feel very durable. Even the steeringwheel controls feel cheap and flimsy.

It will be difficult for some passengers to get comfortable. The car’s seats offer little support, and the cabin doesn’t do a very good job of suppressing wind, road, and tyre noise.

Being such a small car accessibility will be difficult for some less limber and larger passengers. The doors open wide enough but the compact size of the car makes accessing and egressing the cabin a little tricky.

The Proton Gen-2 turning circle lacks something to be desired. That said, the car is easy to park due to its small size, but steering can complicate matters. Rear visibility is somewhat limited but the car comes standard with parking sensors.
