 Honda S2000 - Practicality 3/5
Honda S2000
Honda S2000
The Honda S2000 is an expensive car to purchase and to run. Insurance rates are also high for the S2000. Fuel economy is reasonable given the amount of performance that the car provides.

There is limited space everywhere in the S2000. Head and legroom are adequate, but there isn’t much elbowroom. The boot is seriously limited as well. It is very small thanks to the spare tyre. There is a small storage space behind the seats but it is somewhat difficult to access.

The S2000 dials, controls, and displays are very unique, with a digital speedometer and a bar typed rev counter. The display is large and easy to read but takes a little getting used to. The steering wheel houses the rest of the car’s controls.

Due to the aggressive nature of the S2000 some comfort is sacrificed. The car delivers a firm ride and road noise is pretty loud inside the cabin. The seats are reasonably comfortable, and the steering wheel position is not adjustable so it may pose a problem for some drivers.

Accessibility to the Honda S2000 cabin can be quite a chore. With the roof down accessibility is decent. The seats sit low and it can be difficult to get in and out depending on the size of the passengers. With the top up access requires passengers to bend down low to gain access to the seats.

The S2000 is easy to park if the top is down, because the all around visibility is good. With the top up rearward visibility is extremely limited.
