 Practicality 4/5
Chevrolet Captiva
Chevrolet Captiva
The Chevrolet Captiva comes with a relatively low asking price. Running costs and maintenance should be low and fuel economy should be decent as well, especially with the diesel option.

The Captiva provides excellent cabin space. Passengers should find head and legroom more than adequate. The boot also offers a decent amount of storage space. The versatile seating arrangement makes the Captiva a very practical purchase.

The Chevy’s controls and dials are functional and logically arranged. The instrumentation is not expensive and does not have a luxury feel, but they are better than what one would expect for the price.

The Captiva provides exceptional levels of comfort. The seats are large and accommodating while the cabin is spacious and pleasant. The Captiva provides a decent quality of ride and good value for the money.

Accessing the Chevrolet’s cabin is a non event. The doors provide a wide aperture for easy access and egress. Once inside, the cabin is spacious and the seats are easy enough to slide into. The boot aperture also provides excellent access to the storage area.

Parking the Captiva is easy enough thanks to the car’s size and good visibility. The Captiva’s handling is not the greatest but it does not interfere with parking. Large side mirrors help to make parking the Captiva a breeze.

 Life Style 3/5
Chevrolet Captiva
Chevrolet Captiva
The diesel engine option provides better performance and a more refined ride while providing better fuel economy. The Captiva doesn’t handle well and there is too much lean and roll while cornering. The Chevy Captiva’s steering is not very responsive either offering little in the way of driver appeal.

The Captiva would make a decent family car. It is spacious and can provide seating for up to seven. It is inexpensive to own and operate and fuel economy is good especially with the diesel option. The boot is a good size and could easily accommodate family size loads.

The Chevrolet Captiva is probably not the best choice for a first car. It is inexpensive and easy enough to drive, but it will probably be too large for what most first time car buyers need. The Captiva also offers little in the way of what most newly licensed drivers are looking for in a car.

The Captiva is a quality built car for a very reasonable asking price. The Captiva offers a lot of space and versatility. The cabin materials are not the most expensive by any means, but the quality of the materials used is decent.
