Background

The Passat was first produced in 1973 and has been produced in six generations as both a small family car and as a large family car. The first version of the Passat, the B1, was produced as a saloon with anything from 2 to 5 doors, from 1973 to 1981. Since then the Passat has seen many updates with the B6 type hitting the market in 2005.

The B7 version also emerged in 2010, however this is not a new model, but rather a facelift of the B6 with new external body panels with the most notable changes to the grill and headlights.

The Volkswagen Passat is a stylish and desirable car. Its attractive exterior design, excellent build quality, and wide choice of engines and equipment levels have led to the car’s success. Volkswagen had to change its thinking in order to stand out in a highly competitive segment. The car now boasts a daring, design, and is bigger than before.

Overview
