The Eos is an expensive car to both buy and run. Servicing charges and insurance rates will be high, and fuel economy will be less than decent. The Eos is reliable though making servicing intervals few and far between.
The Volkswagen Eos cabin is spacious and will provide sufficient space to front passengers, but only decent space to the rear passengers. The boot is of generous proportions and is large enough to accommodate most packages, though when the roof is folded, boot space is reduced.
The Volkswagen Eos gauges are large, functional, and logically placed. The fascia is uncluttered and the controls are practical and have a nice feel to them. All are clearly labeled and easy to use. Even the sat-nav system is easy to use.
Passengers will be comfortable, the seats are supportive and the cabin has plenty of head and legroom. Wind and road noise are kept low, and the suspension is crisp and smooth. The Eos will only have trouble when driven over the roughest of roads.
Accessing the cabin is easy thanks to the car’s wide door apertures. Getting in and out of the cabin is easy, even for rear passengers thanks in part to the tilt and sliding function of the front seat. The boot is easily accessed, though somewhat reduced with the top down.
The Eos isn’t the easiest car to park due to the shape of the bonnet. Light steering and smooth acceleration make parking a bit easier. Sensors are available only as an option, and they may be necessary to reverse park with the roof up.

The Eos is an attractive car with sporty looks, but it is not a sports car. The Eos performs best at a moderate pace. The 2.0-litre turbocharged engine is a willing unit, providing good acceleration, and the car’s suspension is also biased towards comfort. The car provides accurate steering, and a smooth and comfortable ride.
The Volkswagen Eos could function as a family vehicle for a young or small family. Children would esily fit into the rear seats, but boot space is limited when the top is down. The outer two rear seats are fitted with Isofix mountings.
The Eos would be an expensive purchase and most first time buyers are not likely to be able to afford it. Insurance rates will also run high, but on the positive side the car is really easy to drive, and aside from limited rear visibility the car should be easy enough for a novice driver to handle.
The Volkswagen Eos provides a high level of quality, the interior boasts quality fabrics and plastics and a high standard of construction. The car’s design is very attractive and boasts a good build quality. The Eos's has a positive public image based on the car’s high quality and unusual standards.
