Vauxhall Zafira Overview
The current Zafira has been very popular in the British market and was the tenth best-selling car in the UK in 2006. Its engines range from a 1.6 litre to a 2.2 litre and its economy ranges from 29.0 mpg to 55mpg. There is also a Zafira Tourer model available.
It is a great family car with lots of space for the kids and a good range of engines.
Background
The Zafira was introduced to the market in 1999 and was based on the same platform as the 1998 Astra. It was replaced by the Zafira B in 2004 and was up for sale in 2005. The Zafira B also shares its platform with the Astra.
The Zafira Tourer C began as a concept in 2011 and was being produced shortly after in the same year, whilst being of a separate generation to the Zafira B model, the Zafira B model will continue to be sold as a smaller more affordable version of the tourer. Also, look out for a hybrid and/or electric version of the Zafira.
Overview
The Zafira is probably the best all-round family vehicle on the market with a flexibility and practicality that cannot be beaten. Buyers will have no problem recognizing the value for money this car represents.
