Review Summary

|
The Toyota Corolla Verso comfortably, reliably and safely transports up to seven people or a load of cargo. The little compact MPV provides the functionality and practicality of a full-blown MPV. The Verso may lose some buyers to more upmarket competitors.

Toyota Corolla Verso Car Review
|
Toyota Corolla Verso
Toyota's Corolla Verso is not the most stylish car available but it is one of the most practical. The Verso provides loads of space and interior versatility. The small compact MPV provides amazing functionality and practicality.
The Corolla Verso boasts a simple design that has been easy for the company to enhance and update as time progressed. The Verso’s controls, switches, levers and buttons all operate with little effort and the instrumentation is not too complex. This has been an important selling factor while many of the car’s rivals tend to over-complicate things.
The Corolla Verso can seat up to seven passengers. The car offers five full-sized seats and two occasional seats. The seats can fold flat to increase the car’s load carrying capabilities. Seats can be raised or lowered in a matter of seconds.
The new Toyota Corolla Verso 2.2-litre diesel engines gave buyers an even broader choice of engines. The more powerful 177bhp unit is the performance variant called the T180. This variant lacks proof of performing much better than the 134bhp model.
The Corolla Verso is so easy to drive that virtually anyone could do it. The Verso provides an excellent in town ride and an equally acceptable motorway ride. Comfort levels are high in the Verso and the levels of versatility are even higher

Toyota Corolla Verso
Entry-level Toyota Corolla Verso models can be purchased for a reasonable price but the most expensive models will be expensive to purchase. The difference in the price range is huge. Resale values should be high across the board though and the Verso should prove to be very reliable.
The Verso has combined the convenience of a seven seater with the load carrying capability of a cargo van into a compact MPV. The seats are easily lifted and lowered, and the practicality on hand is unbelievable.
The Toyota Corolla Verso controls and dials are simplistic but functional. Toyota has managed to not overcomplicate things and it works out in their favor. The instrumentation is functional and logically placed.
The Corolla Verso provides good levels of comfort. The seats are supportive and cabin space can be adjusted according to the number of passengers on hand or the amount of cargo to be carried. The Verso easily adjusts to meet various needs.
The Verso provides excellent accessibility. The doors are large and provide large apertures to access and egress the cabin. Once inside there is enough cabin space that passengers can easily get comfortable. The boot is easily accessible as well.
Parking the Corolla Verso is easy. The car comes with a rear facing camera and a side facing camera as well so parking is really made simple. The system may require a little getting used to but can take the stress out of parking.

Toyota Corolla Verso
The Corolla Verso is not an exciting car to drive. The car was not designed for performance or enthusiastic driving, it was designed for comfort and to provide a smooth and practical ride.
This is an excellent family vehicle with plenty of cabin space on hand and enough versatility to suit almost any family situation. The boot is large enough to accommodate even odd shaped items, and the seats lower to increase load space.
This is an unlikely first car. It’s too big and too expensive, and is unlikely to appeal to many new drivers. The car lacks the features that most new drivers seek in a car.
Toyota is known for its exceptional build quality. The Verso is more of a practical buy than a fashion statement. The car’s interior controls and dials are not comprised of the best materials available but they appear to be sturdy
Security and Safety
|
|
|
The Toyota Corolla Verso standard security features include parts with individual VIN number, engine immobiliser and deadlocking. An alarm system does not come as standard.
The Toyota Corolla Verso comes equipped with a number of airbags and performs well in crash tests.

The Finishing Touches
|
|
|
The Toyota Corolla Verso standard audio system includes a single-disc CD player with RDS and six speakers. The unit provides good sound quality. Several satellite navigation systems are offered as cost-options.
The Toyota Corolla Verso looks the best in metallic siver. Not only is metallic silver more flattering it should help to keep the car’s resale value high.
