Skoda Fabia Car Review
Skoda Fabia

Skoda's Fabia is a popular small car among buyers who are looking for good value for money. The car’s durability and practicality are very appealing. above more subjective attributes. The Fabia Estate adds an element of versatility to the Fabia line. Skoda is well known for producing cars that are practical and functional. The company has become better known in recent years for producing cars that boast class leading levels of build quality at an affordable price. The company's Fabia supermini is testimony to the company’s ability. The small Fabia provides good levels of refinement and a decent ride for a car of this size. The car enjoys a loyal following due largely to its practicality, decent driving experience, and affordable price. The Fabia's hasmanaged to transformation from a modest hatch to something more versatile. The Fabia is a hatchback with much better access and versatility. The car's seats still fold but now the process is much easier than before.

The Fabia is perfect for running around town and navigating busy city streets. The car’s diesel variant offers good fuel economy and makes good sense. The car’s space is good and offers practical loadspace. The Fabia will face stiff competition but has a lot to offer buyers.

Skoda Fabia
Skodas prices have increased as the quality of its cars have increased. Equipment levels are better and the car should hold residual value. The diesel variant is the best and most economical choice.

The Fabia’s space is reasonable and with storage areas and cubbyholes logically placed. Cars with air conditioning also receive cooled gloveboxes. The car's split/fold rear seats come in very handy, allowing larger items to be loaded with ease. The car's tailgate opens wide but due to the flat load lip loading and unloading can be a challenge.

The Fabia is not a complex car, and the controls and dials reflect that simplicity. The essential instruments are all adequately represented on the car’s fascia. The controls and displays are all large and easy to operate. The high-mounted stereo's controls are simple to use as well. The car’s steering wheel adjusts for both reach and rake.

The Fabia provides a very comfortable ride. The car's seats are supportive and comfortable, but larger passengers may not be as comfortable. Cabin space is good for front seat passengers. Rear space is more limited but will accommodate smaller passengers or children very well.

Access to the Skoda Fabia front seats is very good. Back seat passengers don’t have it quite as easy though and face more of a tight-fit if they're adults. Legroom is fairly modest in the back as well. Accessing the boot is a simple task and shouldn’t be problematic.

The Fabia is a small car. This makes the car very easy to manoeuvre into small spaces. The car's steering is light and requires little effort. The car provides good forward visibility and rear visibility is unhindered as well. Rear parking sensors are offered optional on selected variants.

 Life Style 3/5
Skoda Fabia
Skoda Fabia
The Fabia handles well and provides good grip. It drives well both in town and at motorway speeds. The car’s steering is light but offers enough feel on more challenging roads. All of the engines on offer are decent, but the turbo diesel engines are more potent and economical.

The Skoda Fabia probably wouldn’t be the most practical family car. Rear seating is limited, and may not easily accommodate a growing family. The boot is practically sized though and could easily store a stroller or family-sized shopping.

The Fabia would make an excellent first car. It’s an ideal size and affordably priced. The Fabia is also easy to drive and makes a lot of sense. The estate provides added versatility and is ideal for anyone seeking a compact loadlugger.

Skoda is not the same company that they used to be. Far from the company that used to cut quality in order to keep prices down they have evolved into a firm capable of producing quality cars with class, practicality and a good deal of personality. The firm has changed but buyers will be pleased to know that the company’s ethos on reliability have remained the same.

 Security and Safety 3/5
Although not the highest value car the Fabia comes with visual window etching, and a key and radio code database for the first three years of ownership free. This car also comes with an engine immobilizer and deadlocking system. All models except the entry level classic come standard with remote central locking.

The Fabia comes with anti lock brakes and twin front airbags. Basic electronic traction and stability control come with the Elegance variant, and the same goes for the optional side airbags.

 The Finishing Touches 3.5/5
The Fabia comes standard with a single CD player and six speakers. The base level 1.2 Fabia is only equipped with a cassette player. The standard unit’s controls are large and easy to use. The unit’s sound quality is excellent and a big improvement over past models.

The Fabia’s exterior looks best in bright metallic colours. Bright colours give the Fabia a youthful, happy appearance. The metallic hues will help to keep resale values high. Black dominates the Fabia’s interior, and the cabin has a quality feel. Lighter cabin shades are available upon request.
