Renault Scenic Car Review
Renault Scenic

The Renault Scenic is spacious and versatile and should be very appealing for family buyers. The Scenic has been affordably priced and comes with a range of attractive engine choices.

Medium MPV’s face stiff competition, but the Scenic is at the top of its class. The car has been designed for family appeal. It’s not fast and doesn’t provide much in the way of performance.

The Renault Scenic 1.9 dCi is the best all-round choice of engines. The unit provides a maximum speed of 117mph. The car boasts good handling and body-roll has been improved over past models.

The Scenic provides comfortable seating for five. The Scenic is loaded with equipment and creature comforts. The three rear seats fold up and slide forward individually to create versatile storage space. The seats don’t fold completely flat though and some rival brands do.

The Scenic scored a five star rating on the Euro NCAP safety test. This is not surprising given the amount of safety equipment that is featured in the Scenic. The car’s high safety rating will carry a lot of weight with family buyers.

The Renault Scenic is a very attractive and appealing medium sized MVP. The Scenic shouldn’t have any problems giving competitors a run for their money.

Renault Scenic
The Scenic is affordably priced and provides good value for the money. Insurance rates should be low and the diesel engine will provide good fuel economy. The diesel engine will also help resale value when the time comes.

The Scenic provides ample passenger space for five passengers. Head and legroom is good and the boot is large and useful. The car’s seats fold to create more cargo carrying space. Various cargo spaces located inside the cabin increase the car’s practicality.

The Renault Scenic steering wheel adjusts for height and reach, and the car’s seats offer a good variety of adjustment as well. The car’s instrumentation is logically located and easy to use. The controls are large and functional. The basic functions have been duplicated on the car’s steering-wheel.

The Scenic provides excellent levels of comfort for all of its passengers. The car delivers a smooth ride and is packed full of safety features. The seats are supportive and comfortable even on longer journeys. Engine and road noise have successfully been minimized.

The Scenic is highly accessible. The car’s doors are a good size providing a wide opening. Passengers can easily slide into the car’s seats and egress is just as easy. The boot lid opens wide and provides a large aperture for easy loading and unloading.

Renault Scenic
The Scenic was not designed for speed. The car offers a comfortable ride with plenty of power. The car is clearly biased toward delivering a comfortable and safe ride.

The Scenic is an excellent family vehicle. It provides comfortable seating for five and has a large enough boot to store items usually associated with family life. The car provides good levels of comfort even on longer trips. The car also delivers a smooth ride. The car’s interior should hold up well under the rigors of family life.

This wouldn’t make the best first car. It is large and doesn’t offer the typical features that appeal to first time buyers. There are more appropriate car available for novice drivers.

The Renault Scenic delivers a good all-round package. It can haul people and is versatile enough to carry cargo both large and small, and the Grand Scenic delivers a smooth and refined ride. These things combine to create high levels of comfort and safety.

 Security and Safety 4/5
The Renault Scenic standard security features include keyless entry, an engine immobilizer, deadlocks and remote central locking. This should be an adequate amount of security for the Renault Scenic.

The Renault Scenic standard safety features include driver, passenger and curtain airbags. Many other features such as ESP are offered as cost options or are available on higher spec models.

 The Finishing Touches 3.5/5
The Renault Scenic comes equipped as standard with a digital display and trip computer. The Renault Scenic standard audio unit boasts good sound quality and is easy to operate.

The Renault Scenic delivers an airy feel with a sunroof and a skylight. The car’s lighter interior could show fingerprints and dirt more easily, and heated seats and air conditioning are optional. The cabin boasts a good overall quality.
