Mini Cooper Car Review Summary

Mini Cooper
The little Mini is loved all over the world. Its small proportions and retro styling have won hearts over in many different countries and social circles. The Mini Cooper has blown the competition away in terms of desirability and style.
Mini Coopers are a part of British history and the car’s legend and legacy lives on today. The car has rightfully taken its place in British Automotive History. The newer versions have much to live up to.
BMW's version is proving to be quite popular with many different demographics. In fact it is hard to pin-point the excat demographic of the MIni. The car is enjoying high sales volume and everyone is shocked by the overwhelming success of the super supermini.
The Mini doesn’t actually have a target market. The little car is loved by people of all ages and races. Men and women both love the Mini, and young and old alike show an interest in the delightful car with such a charming character. The popularity of the Mini doesn’t seem to be diminishing with time. High sales are a good indicator of that.
Practicality

The Cooper’s purchase price is quite costly, and after tallying in all the extra options the price climbs even higher. The car’s insurance tends to run high as well. The car is reliable and quality built so maintenance costs should be fairly low.
The Mini is a really small car and space is limited. The car provides cup holders and a small boot to help with minor storage needs, but the boot is not large enough to accommodate much.
The controls and displays are large and easy to operate. The quality of the plastics is questionable but seems to blend well with the car’s retro feel. The little Mini is rarely criticized for the quality of its cabin materials.
Wind and road noise are successfully minimized which is surprising for a car in this class. Engine noise is audible but not too annoying. The front seats are well designed and supportive. Some larger passengers may be less comfortable but for the most part the seats provide excellent levels of comfort.
Accessibility to the Mini Cooper front seats is good. The doors open wide enough and access is straightforward for the most part. Accessibility to the rear seats is much more limited and only children and smaller people should even try accessing the rear seats. The boot is small, but easily accessible.
Parking the Mini Cooper is super simple. The car provides good all-round visibility and steering is light at low speeds. The car’s small size makes it incredibly easy to park. Sensors are available on the options list but shouldn’t be necessary.

Life Style

The Mini Cooper provides a good driving experience. The little car is cute and fun whether you have the Sports variant or not. The Mini handles exceptionally well and has no trouble making other drivers jealous. The over-sized gear knob and lively shift make the driving experience even better.
This is not a family car. The car’s small size and lack of cabin space make it an unlikely choice. The front seat provides ample room but the back seat is extremely limited. The car’s boot is also way too small to haul around family type items.
This would make an excellent first car. It’s easy to drive and handles well. Parking is not an issue and there is just enough space for a couple of friends. The only problem is the car’s price. The car will not be cheap and it will be difficult for most newly licensed drivers to afford the car and insurance premiums.
The Cooper has an excellent image and the firm’s image for producing reliable and quality products doesn’t hurt either. BMW’s association adds credibility to the product and gives BMW a much needed boost in the fun department.

Security and Safety

The Mini Cooper comes standard with an engine immobiliser and remote central locking. The car really could use an alarm system and a tracking device. Buyers should plan on paying extra for these much needed security measures.
The Mini Cooper comes equipped with various airbags and seatbelt pre-tensioners. Convertible models come equipped with roll bars fore and aft. The car’s size makes it somewhat vulnerable in an accident, but the car’s bodyshell is quality built.
The Finishing Touches

The Mini Cooper comes equipped with a standard tape deck unit. Most buyer will want to opt for the upgrade either a six-disc changer or single slot unit. The sound quality is greatly improved on the upgrade units.
The Mini Cooper can be customized with various bonnet stripes, roof graphics, mirror covers, and chrome packs. Leather seats and body coloured interior trim are also available and these really do add a little something extra to the Mini. The body colour will depend largely on roof graphics and other personalized touches.
