Review Summary
|
|
Hyundai has managed to produce a quality coupe that offers driving fun and excitement, embraces the good looks of a coupe, and is offered at a fraction of the price of most coupes. Buyers who aren’t looking to buy a car for fashion reasons should really give the Hyundai Coupe some thought.

Hyundai Coupe Car Review
|
Hyundai Coupe
Hyundai has managed to take all of the positive aspects that buyers love about a coupe and make them more affordable with the introduction of the Hyundai Coupe. Hyundai is better known for its reliable and practical budget cars but the Coupe shows that the company is actually very versatile and still has a few surprises in store for buyers.
The Hyundai Coupe provides an excellent driving experience as you would expect from a coupe. The 2.7-litre V6 will furnish plenty of power for fun and exciting driving. Other less powerful engines are available for those who want to look the part but don’t necessarily need the power.
The Hyundai Coupe provides exceptional value for money as buyers have also come to expect from Hyundai. Their famous five year warranty applies to the Coupe as well, and is sure to give the competition a run for their money. The Coupe looks the part and plays the part very well. Although it is apparent that costs have been cut in the form of quality cabin materials, the car is still very impressive.
The Coupe offers sporty steering and handles well. The car boasts a high level of standard specification designed to get potential buyers to take a closer look.

Hyundai Coupe
The Hyundai Coupe is an inexpensive car to purchase and is very affordably priced within its respective market. Insurance premiums will fluctuate depending on the engine choice, and even the car’s most powerful engine is fairly fuel efficient. The company’s five year warranty ought to be very attractive for buyers and blows the competition’s warranties away.
Front riding passengers enjoy plenty of head and legroom while rear passengers have considerably less space. The glovebox is a decent size though and there are other storage compartments located in the cabin area.
The Hyundai Coupe controls and displays in the Coupe are all logically placed and geared toward practicality. They aren’t fancy but they work and are where you’d expect them to be.
Seats and steering adjust for driver comfort, and the car handles well and delivers a decently comfortable ride, but like most coupes the ride is less comfortable on longer trips. Cabin noise levels are good for the price of the vehicle.
Access to the front seats of the Hyundai Coupe is good with the exception of the seats sitting low requiring passengers to climb down into the seats. Access to the rear seats is much more limited and only smaller, more limber passengers should attempt to access the rear seats. The Coupe can be a difficult car to park. It has a long bonnet and provides limited rear visibility The car does not come equipped with parking sensors, but does provide light steering that makes parking the Coupe a lot easier.

Hyundai Coupe
The Hyundai Coupe 2.7-litre V6 is the best engine being offered if you want a fun ride and enough power to match the car’s sporty looks. Handling is good but maybe not quite great, and the car doesn’t handle rough surfaces very well, but better than many competitors.
The Coupe really isn’t a family car. The front is spacious enough, but the rear is too cramped. The boot is fairly large and could hold a decent amount of shopping but the rear seat would not be practical at all.
First time buyers may not be able to afford the Coupe, and even if they can afford the purchase price insurance rates will be fairly high. The Coupe’s 2.t-litre engine may prove difficult for a new driver to handle, but technically the Coupe could be used as a first car and could easily function in that capacity.
The Hyundai Company has delivered a very reliable, sporty car for a great price. To make the deal sweeter they have thrown in a five year unlimited miles warranty. With such a great deal being offered the only thing that would hold buyers back would be the manufacturer’s lack of snob appeal which is a shame.
Security and Safety
|
|
|
The Hyundai Coupe is an attractive vehicle and as such comes with remote central locking and an alarm system. The car is attractive and can provide a spirited ride, but it is not an expensive car compared to other cars in its class and probably would be safe enough with the standard level of security being offered.
Hyundai has paid close attention to the Coupe’s safety features. The car comes with dual front and side airbags, ABS, EBD, traction controls, and the rear seats are fitted with three-point seat belts. The car’s standard package also includes side impact bars to help protect passengers in the event of a crash.

The Finishing Touches
|
|
|
The Hyundai Coupe standard stereo unit is very basic and comes with six speakers. It provides good sound and limited options are available.
The Coupe’s exterior style looks the best in red. The interior stitching of the Coupe is red and it only makes sense to coordinate the colors. The rest of the car’s interior is black.
