Cadillac’s small premium compact model, the BLS, is designed to deliver a great driving experience and the most comfortable ride possible in a truly refined package. The Cadillac is front-wheel drive and buyers have a choice between several engine designs to choose from.
The Cadillac's BLS cabin is very spacious, especially in the rear. The cabin design focuses mostly on passenger comfort; both forward riding passengers and rear passengers have an abundance of cabin space, including good head, leg, and elbow room all around. The extra room helps to facilitate comfort on short and long distance trips.
The spacious backseat will accommodate adults easily, busy business executives know how important having a spacious backseat can be when you have to transport clients to and fro. Cadillac’s attempt to rise above the competition in the premium compact class could quickly become a reality with the BLS.
The Cadillac BLS rakish exterior styling gives it a very distinguished look. There’s no chance of mistaking it for the competition. The car’s diesel engine option is a strong performer, and the cabin does a good job of filtering out road and engine noise.

The Cadillac BLS is an expensive car, but at the same time boasts an impressive value for money performance. Opting for the diesel engine will increase fuel economy, and the BLS’s mechanical capabilities have proven to be more than reliable and therefore running costs should be minimal. The downside is finding a Cadillac dealer to perform routine servicing.
The BLS Cadillac is very spacious for a car in the premium compact sector. The cabin is spacious enough for front and rear passengers. Head and legroom is good all around, and the boot is just as spacious. The rear seats fold forward to increase cargo space.
The car’s main dials and controls are well placed and easy to use. The quality of some of the features seems a little cheap compared to the usual Cadillac quality.
The Cadillac BLS has a very spacious cabin which is quite comfortable room wise, but passengers may be less than impressed by the lack of support in the leather version of the front passenger seats. The fabric version is much more supportive. Road and engine noise are completely minimized in the cabin and the overall level of comfort is high.
Access to the cabin is straightforward for both front and rear passengers. The boot is also equally accessible. The car’s easy access is due largely to the car’s size and most passengers shouldn’t have any problem loading or unloading.
The BLS can be somewhat difficult to park. The car is not a large vehicle, but judging where the boot ends can be challenging. Side mirrors are large and provide a fairly good view of the rear, and rear sensors are available as optional add ons.

The Cadillac BLS delivers a nice ride, especially at higher speeds. Comfort and class take priority in the interior cabin. Under the bonnet the diesel and petrol V6 engines are the best options available.
The Cadillac BLS would make an excellent family car with lots of frills and comfort. The cabin is spacious enough to accommodate a growing family, yet the variety of engine choices make it fuel friendly, and cost effective. The boot is a good size too and can carry a good deal of cargo that accompanies an active family life style.
Even given the car’s smaller size it wouldn’t be a good first car. Newly licensed drivers would probably want a sportier car, one that is a little less expensive with a less mature image.
The BLS Cadillac is a different car than the Cadillacs of the past. It is smaller, stylish, and more economical appealing to more buyers. The BLS is not short on comfort even though the premium compact is not as large as traditional Cadillacs. It does lack the expensive quality feel in the cabin that was the order of the day for past generations.

The Cadillac BLS comes standard with a remote central locking system and a fully integrated alarm system. The unique exterior design will surely attract attention and the buyer should consider adding a visual theft deterent to the existing system.
This little Cadillac comes equipped with most of the usual safety devices, such as ABS, traction control and stability aids, and a variety of airbags (twin front, side and curtain).

The Cadillac BLS comes with a standard stereo unit and CD-MP3 player, and seven speakers. The sound quality is good, and there are many upgrades available. The basic controls are duplicated on the steering wheel for the driver’s convenience. The visual display on the standard unit can be difficult to see in direct sunlight.
Dramatic colours are the most flattering on the BLS the dark standard colors add a high-class feel to the cabin design, but the leather upgrade adds a warmer more premium feel to the cabin interior and tones down the car’s plastic features.
