BMW Z4
Review Summary
The BMW Z4 looks good in most colours. Darker exterior colours tend to play down the car’s curves, and lighter colours tend to enhance them. The cabin’s interior comes in a variety of colors as well, lighter colours in the cabin tend to get dirty very quickly.

BMW Z4 Car Review
BMW Z4

BMW’s Z4 is a real looker. It has a beautiful, sleek exterior style and a more powerful engine. You probably won’t see too many of them around, making them really special.

The Z4 seems to promise the driver a sporty experience. The car sits low and looks as if it is from a different era, with a sloping roof, short tail and long hood. The tail is short, but it disguises an amazingly functional boot. Under the hood is the multi award-winning 3.2-litre unit from the acclaimed M3. The BMW Z4 is so easy to drive. It’s fast and agile and could easily become the only car you drive-or want to drive. The Z4 M variant is lighter than the M3, very responsive and powered by one great engine.

The Z4 is such a fun car and despite its compact size cabin space is remarkably good. Buyers will not be able to overlook the car’s high level of build quality and cabin refinement either. The Z4 may not be functional enough to be your only car, but it will without a doubt be the neatest car you own.

BMW Z4
BMW's Z4 is an expensive car to purchase, but only around 2000 are produced per year, so resale value stays high. Servicing and fuel economy is fairly sensible, and for the most part costs mirror performance levels.

The BMW Z4 cabin space is adequate but not roomy. There is a moderately sized glove box and a decent sized boot. The boot would hold several average sized packages.

The cabin’s controls and dials are easy to use, clear and uncomplicated. The stereo is in a good location and the comprehensive trip computer is a nice addition.

The Z4 is small but comfortable. If you want to keep the ride comfortable don’t opt for the sport suspension package. It can make the ride bumpy and rough. Cabin noise is pretty good and engine noise is most noticeable when the car is being driven hard.

Although the car sits low and has a low sloping roof, accessibility is not difficult at all. The car’s doors are large and make entry and exit from the Z4 fairly simple for most passengers. The boot is easily accessible and the tailgate can be opened via the key fob, from the exterior of the tailgate, or via a button located on the car’s fascia.

The BMW Z4 can be difficult to park. The driver sits low and rear visibility is limited. It is difficult to judge where the cars hood and tail are. Rear sensors are optional but highly recommended.

BMW Z4
The BMW Z4 has great driver appeal. Its sporty style and powerful engine are a winning combination. It is a fun car to drive, yet it could function as a primary vehicle. The Z4 has a lot of power when pushed hard .This is an excellent car for an experienced driver.

The BMW Z4 is really not a family car. It’s only a two seater and could not transport even a small family. It was not designed to be family friendly. At best, it could be used as a second car.

The Z4 wouldn’t make a good first car either. It is a really expensive car to buy, and insurance for a new driver would be outrageous. Visibility isn’t good, especially rear visibility, and the unique power and driving characteristics of the Z4 require an experienced driver.

BMW has a well established and impressive image. Enthusiastic drivers seek out the BMW brand because of their sporty image. The Z4 is no exception; this vehicle exemplifies BMW’s commitment to quality fit and finish. The Z4’s cabin is designed with high class materials and is in tradition with true BMW quality.

 Security and Safety 3.5/5
The BMW Z4 comes with all of the usual security features including an alarm and immobilizer system. Given the car’s value and appeal it would probably be a good idea to invest in a tracking system as well.

The BMW Z4 comes standard with front and side airbags, a comprehensive electronic stability control package. The car also comes with a unique braking feature that allows the driver to prime the brakes for an emergency stop.

 The Finishing Touches 3.5/5
BMW Z4 standard stereo package includes a quality stereo and CD player. The basic stereo controls can be mounted on the steering wheel. Other options are available such as sat-nav, a CD changer, or a Bluetooth link for hands free mobile phone operation.
